USCF Memberships
Through the affiliation of USCF, students who create a membership will be able to participate in any Nationally accredited USCF chess tournament, regardless of the state. Each membership requires renewal, and CAAS tries to use our affiliation to get discount vouchers to allow for cheaper memberships while a student is school from 7th-12th grade.
As a coach/parent, it is important that you help keep track of the USCF Membership status of your player(s) so that you do not purchase multiple memberships. The vouchers that we use can be used for either a new ID or for a membership renewal.
Checking for a Preexisting Membership ID
USCF ID/Rating Search
When you are trying to find out if a player on your team already has a USCF ID, leave the Member ID section blank, and fill out any of the information you do have available to you: Name, State, etc.
Voucher Redemption Code
A form will be sent that each student will need to fill out. As a coach/parent, please ensure that your student is filling out the form correctly. If they already have a USCF ID and need to renew it, they need to ensure that they select the renewal box. If they do not have a USCF ID they need to make sure they select that they need a new ID. Coaches/Parent sponsors may be able to access the form through a link emailed to them by Reagan Wentzel from caaschesspaperwork@gmail.com.
